Investigators have also interviewed more than 150 people to determine what support, if any, Rudolph got from locals. Among those questioned: family members of two recently deceased brothers who, says a law-enforcement source, belonged to a religious group that espoused a white-supremacist ideology similar to the one Rudolph allegedly subscribed to. Family members deny the brothers’ involvement. Burglary reports about missing canned goods, blankets and clothes are being revisited, too. But some evidence has been easier to find–handwriting samples, for instance, from a stack of Most Wanted posters that Rudolph signed for his jailers.
