One night after that victory in Europe, Kerr, with apologies to his mother, profanely paraphrased Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to describe the Warriors’ victory over the Rockets in Game 5 of their NBA Western Conference playoffs series.
“Our guys are f—ing giants. That was an unbelievable victory tonight,” Kerr said after the reigning champs held on to beat Houston 104-99 and take a 3-2 series lead.

“After dark, I’m a different guy, aren’t I?” Kerr quipped in response to a reporter’s question.
Klopp said his players were “f—ing mentality giants” for completing a stunning second-half comeback against a world-class club. Golden State played the fourth quarter without star forward Kevin Durant, who suffered a calf strain in the third quarter. Durant’s official status isn’t yet available for Game 6 in Houston on Friday, but Kerr has already ruled him out.
The Warriors also blew a 20-point lead in the second half and briefly trailed.
