Ridley played for New York’s for four seasons, leading New England in rushing in 2012 with 1,263 yards. Since then he’s struggled with fumbles, and a torn ACL last year cut his season short.

He already had a Patriots tattoo, so his addition is located below his previous team’s tat.
Ridley posted a farewell message to Patriots fans and former teammates on his Instagram page two days ago.

“Sending love to all my day one fans, and every teammate I’ve had the pleasure to take the field with. We all know it’s a business, yet it’s also a blessings. So either way you see it, you’ll never understand. Love New England, Love my former teammates, and I’m truly thankful for the opportunity the Patriot’s organization has blessed me with. However it’s #ontotheJETS”
Ridley’s Pats tattoo was visable in the photo the Jets posted Monday, when the running back officially signed. So that’s a little awkward.
